Introduction

Midas House in Woking has taken a major leap toward sustainability with a comprehensive decarbonisation upgrade, highlighted by the installation of our cutting-edge Larch heat pump system.

This forward-thinking project replaces the building’s outdated heating infrastructure with a high-efficiency, low-carbon solution that meets today’s environmental standards—and is ready for tomorrow’s.

The new heat pump system delivers quiet, consistent heating across the office space while significantly reducing carbon emissions. It also gives building managers and occupants greater control over energy usage, helping to cut operational costs and improve workplace comfort.

To maximise efficiency, the Larch system is fully compatible with the latest smart control technologies. These enable zone-specific temperature management and real-time energy monitoring—making it easier than ever to optimise performance and achieve long-term savings.

This upgrade not only supports Midas House’s environmental objectives but also helps future-proof the workspace by aligning with evolving sustainability regulations and net-zero targets. With this installation, Midas House sets a benchmark for modern, low-carbon office buildings.

Heat Pump Details:

The feasibility study conducted for the building identified that a comprehensive heating and hot water solution would require the installation of the Larch heat pump unit. This assessment was based on a detailed analysis of the building’s size, energy demands, and the specific requirements for both heating and hot water throughout the year.  The chosen Larch range model is:

1 x Larch 350kW

From an environmental perspective, heat pumps offer a much cleaner alternative to conventional heating systems.  Since they run on electricity instead of burning fossil fuels, they have the potential to operate entirely on renewable energy sources like solar or wind.  This significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with heating and cooling.  Additionally, as the electricity grid becomes greener, heat pumps become even more sustainable.

“CO2PEC have been great to work with, they have been very knowledgeable and professional throughout the installation of our Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar Panels and all other supporting services”
